Hopper windows are hinged at the bottom and tilt in to offer increased ventilation. Hopper windows are often paired with other fixed or operable windows and doors or incorporated into transoms. They can be mulled with other windows and doors for endless design possibilities

Basement windows are another popular use for hopper windows. Windows in basements are essential for light and ventilation, and the hopper window fulfills both needs in the limited space typically provided by basements.

The beauty of a tilt turn window is its dual action. The window will swing inward when opened like a casement, with a screen on the window’s exterior. The window can then be hinged at the bottom and open inward at the top. Both actions activate by the turn of a lever, which controls all the mechanics within the frame.

Utilize the window in almost any room within a residential home. Commercial applications include restaurants, office buildings, and high rise apartments. A condominium on the thirtieth floor cannot typically be cleaned, except by a professional cleaning service; tilt turn windows open inward and allow for complete cleaning of the window units with out calling costly professionals.

Awning windows are a popular choice for in-system windows in greenhouses, sunrooms, and other Glass Structures. These windows operate like vents, naturally allowing for air circulation. Cool air can enter through windows placed lower on the structure, while hot air escapes through awning windows placed at the ridge of the structure. Awning windows can be used in conjunction with multiple other operable window & door choices. No additional framing is required when mulling together multiple windows and doors, allowing for consistent sightlines and a clean appearance. The screen is mounted on the interior of the window. This window type usually comes with a limiter, which allows the window to open without exceeding its operable limits.

Casement windows are one of the most popular window styles in the world today. A casement is a window that is attached to its frame by one or more hinges at the side. They are used singly or in pairs within a common frame. Casement windows are often held open using a casement stay. Windows hinged at the top are referred to as awning windows, and ones hinged at the bottom are called hoppers. Casement windows, including awning and hopper types generally have lower air leakage rates than sliding windows because the sash closes by pressing against the frame. Casement windows are also excellent for natural ventilation strategies, especially in hot climates. Casements allow more control of ventilation than flush-opening windows. They can be hinged to open outward and angled in order to direct breezes into the building.

With panels that rise off the track and move with ease, these lift and slide doors are an upgrade from your traditional sliding glass doors. The door handle controls the lift slide technology; the gaskets in the door are lifted when you turn the handle, which then lifts the panels and allows them to smoothly travel across the track. Once the panels are in place, you turn the handle once more, and the door locks into place. Air, water, and structural tests are higher with the lift slide door system than with any other traditional sliding glass door system. Standard lift slide units consist of two, three, and four panel units. Despite the size, these doors can still be opened with one hand and closed with just the push of a finger.
