SCHÜCO AWS 75.SI

SCHÜCO AWS 75.SI

  • DESCRIPTION

75mm (2 15/16”) frame depth with polyamide thermal break barrier. The Schüco AWS 75.SI aluminum window system has the unique advantages of aluminum: durability and stability, narrow face widths and a variety of designs - in large, transparent formats. With a basic depth of just 2 15/16”, this window system offers excellent versatility and can easily be combined with the Schüco range of doors ADS. In combination with the concealed fittings Schüco AvanTec and Schüco TipTronic, Schüco AWS 75.SI meets the very highest standards in terms of both design and ease of use. Available in both double and triple-pane glass. The Schüco AWS window modules with a basic depth of 2 15/16” feature impressive characteristics in terms of function, energy efficiency and design. Above all, the new Schüco AWS 75.SI+ window allows the thermal insulation to be optimised for energy efficiency, with a Uf value of 1.2 W/(m2K) and a face width of 117 mm. SimplySmart technology provides fabrication benefits with a centre gasket that is optimised for energy efficiency and new glazing rebate insulation. When used in conjunction with the new generation of Schüco AvanTec SimplySmart mechanical fittings, this also allows significant time savings to be made during installation. The slim design and maximum transparency of the AWS 75 BS.SI+ block window due to its concealed vent frame allow the highest requirements in terms of energy efficiency and architecture to be fulfilled. Based on the Schüco block window, the highly thermally insulated Schüco AWS 75 WF.SI+ system is designed specifically for the economical construction of ribbon windows with storey-height glazing and a mullion/transom appearance.

  • FRAME

AWS 75.SI is a thermally insulated aluminium window system with 75 mm basic depth. 6063-T6 high quality aluminum profile extrusion.

  • HARDWARE

Schüco proprietary (Roto & GU) hardware, locks and hinges made in Germany are standard on this window. The biggest benefit that a multipoint locking system brings to a door or window is the added security and improved occupant sense of safety. Multipoint systems can also improve weatherstripping performance and offer a more secure and weather resistant seal. This is one of the reasons multipoint locking systems have been embraced in Europe, where more stringent energy code requirements are in place. Of course, multipoint locks are also recognised by insurance companies as offering enhanced and improved security to homes and businesses. High strength and security from multipoint locking on all 4 sides. Airtight and weather-sealed with continuous gasketing on all 4 sides. Multipoints also help prevent warping, even for very tall sashes.

  • WEATHER STRIPPING

Three EPDM weather seal strips. Semperit (Germany made) Aviation grade EPDM gaskets are an outstanding long-term seal. They have many advantages: excellent acoustic and thermal insulation, high elasticity and long-term elastic recovery, UV-resistant, ozone-resistant, weatherproof, no contact discoloration on coatings, and elastic and impermeable at temperature ranges from -35 °C to +100 °C.

  • ALUMINUM POWDER COAT

Aluminum powder coat by Tiger. Tiger Drylac® Series 75 fluoropolymer hyper durable powder coating with superior weatherability for architectural applications. Drylac® Series 75 is a series of hyper-durable powder coatings designed to meet the requirements of AAMA2605-05, the most demanding architectural specification in the world.

  • INSULATED GLASS UNIT

Standard glazing for AWS 75.SI is 5mm Saint-Gobain Planitherm Ultra N II / ARG90 / CLR / ARG90 / Planitherm Ultra N II (5mm/5mm/5mm) 39mm, with industry-leading Ködispace 4SG TPS spacer. Planitherm is high transmission range, high-performance, low-emissivity products, offering the lowest center pane U- value in the market thus providing excellent thermal insulation for the most demanding of glass specifications. Renowned for its extremely neutral appearance Planitherm very effectively reflects long-wave heat radiation back into a room, thereby minimizing heat loss through a window while also maximizing solar heat gain and natural light transmission. Unlike traditional thermoplastic spacers, Ködispace 4SG TPS spacer's reactive butyl forms a chemical bond both with the silicone secondary sealing used in glass façades and with the glass surface itself. In this way, Ködispace 4SG bonds solidly with the pane and ensures long-term gas impermeability. Ködispace 4SG TPS has the best Psi and Ug values. It has the lowest failure rate in the industry against between-the-glass condensation and fogging and is why GlasFëns uses it as a standard spacer. It's an up-charge with other window suppliers but here it's standard.

  • THERMAL BREAK

Standard thermal insulation strut is polymer nylon 66 made in Germany. Polyamides offer high levels of heat resistance, stiffness and high mechanical stability for a durable solution. Without insulation, aluminum windows, doors, and facades transfer heat, leading to a huge loss of energy. This is where our high-precision insulating profiles come into play. Connecting aluminum panels of any kind, while keeping mechanical performance at the highest level, they prevent direct exchange of heat and cold – and create what is known as the “thermal break”. The result: minimized thermal conductivity, optimized efficiency, and a better energy footprint. Our aluminum window products with polyamide thermal breaks can save energy amounting to 85% and reducing CO2-emissions considerably.
