70AWW.b is a thermally insulated aluminum window system with interior wood cladding and a 70 mm basic depth. 6063-T6 high-quality aluminum profile extrusion. Aluminum frame and sash corner connections are sealed with German Weiss frame connection sealant. Wood provides naturalness and warmth as a material, as well as low thermal conductivity. This composite of aluminum and wood in windows features a weather-resistant aluminum frame and a warm wood surface on the inside. This results in a composite window with good insulation properties with narrow construction depth and many possibilities of color design. Wood creates comfort – it is a feel-good material. Aluminum, on the other hand, offers a robust protective shield against the elements. Put together, they form a window or door with a wood interior that lasts for generations without the need for continuous maintenance. Next to the classic wood types such as spruce and larch, we can also offer you oak, ash and walnut. These are available in different colors. In addition to RAL colors, GlasFëns offers a selection of transparent and semi-transparent stains (e.g. oak, mahogany, beech, walnut). Thus, your composite windows can perfectly match your interior design, your floors, and your interior doors.

Roto hardware, locks and hinges made in Germany are standard on this window. Standard glazing for 70AWW.b is 5mm Saint-Gobain Planitherm Ultra N II / ARG90 / CLR / ARG90 / Planitherm Ultra N II (5mm/5mm/5mm) 39mm, with industry-leading Ködispace 4SG TPS spacer. Planitherm is high transmission range, high-performance low-emissivity products, offering the lowest center pane U- value in the market thus providing excellent thermal insulation for the most demanding of glass specifications. Renowned for its extremely neutral appearance Planitherm very effectively reflects long-wave heat radiation back into a room, thereby minimizing heat loss through a window while also maximizing solar heat gain and natural light transmission. Unlike traditional thermoplastic spacers, Ködispace 4SG TPS spacer's reactive butyl forms a chemical bond both with the silicone secondary sealing used in glass façades and with the glass surface itself. In this way, Ködispace 4SG bonds solidly with the pane and ensures long-term gas impermeability. Ködispace 4SG TPS has the best Psi and Ug values. It's the lowest failure rate in the industry against condensation between the glass and fogging and is why GlasFëns uses it as a standard spacer. It's an up-charge with other window suppliers but here it's standard.

Standard thermal insulation strut is Technoform Bautec polymer nylon 66 made in Germany. Polyamides offer high levels of heat resistance, stiffness, and high mechanical stability for a durable solution. Without insulation, aluminum windows, doors, and facades transfer heat, leading to a huge loss of energy. This is where our high-precision insulating profiles come into play connecting aluminum panels of any kind, while keeping mechanical performance at the highest level, they prevent the direct exchange of heat and cold – and create what is known as the “thermal break”. The result: minimized thermal conductivity, optimized efficiency, and a better energy footprint. Our aluminum window products with polyamide thermal breaks can save energy amounting to 85% and reducing CO2-emissions considerably.
